DISCOVER

August Bioservicesis a US-based, quality-driven CDMO that offers end-to-end drug research anddevelopment, cGMP laboratory services, and sterile fill/finish cGMPmanufacturing to clients of all sizes and stages, from pre-clinical tocommercial.

As a business in ahighly regulated biotech industry, the brief legally required some veryspecific criteria around GMP and cGMP. As such, the business had struggled tofind people for an extended length of time.

The position required was a business-critical role, Senior Automation Engineer.

By the time STQPartners were involved, the position had been open for around 12 months intotal, so there was a mounting pressure to fill the position. This was acritical role to enable the business to expand its facility and ultimatelytheir bandwidth of manufacturing capabilities.

Consult

Dueto location of the facility, there was no local talent pool or Biotechbusinesses within a reasonable distance. Furthermore, budgetary restraints madeit virtually impossible to compel people to relocate as it was not competitiveenough by industry standard and did not cover the costs of someone doing so.

Weimmediately mapped out every other CRO/ CDMO business across the entire US andbegan to map every single individual within them who had strong Automationexperience. We crafted a detailed, informative, and standardized pitch andbegan to systematically engage the talent identified.

Simultaneously,we also began to identify any allied markets that operated under the sameregulations and standards.

Execute

Having been openfor 12 months, we successfully filled this position within 8 weeks.

We assembled adedicated internal project team and leveraged our software and tools tocommence the search. The depth of our search meant that we identified twocandidates’ that are offer-worthy, providing the client with choice and alsominimising the risk to the client.

This business-critical placement allowed August to get their expansion plans back ontrack.
