Our client was acquired by a Private Equity (PE) firm to grow and sell in 3-5 years. They had acquired a manufacturer in Canada but had no presence in Houston. This was a specific target – specifically the data center and utility projects – as Houston is a hub for these operations. The requirement was to buildout a complete offering from the ground up starting with the engineering team. This meant that when projects were won they should be deliverable.
STQ Partners were briefed to place management positions initially, with the view that we then secure their teams below them. This fitted with our experience of great people attracting great people.
As our client was backed by PE, speed was critical, with everything required yesterday. However, we knew our hires were the foundation of the business and we could not sacrifice the quality. Luckily the demands of speed versus quality are where our data-driven Q-Print excels.
