Join a pioneering clean tech power generation business as the Director of Power Generation Operations! In this dynamic leadership role, you will lead the vision and execution of exceptional turbine operations, service quality, and asset integrity. You’ll also provide vital support services across the group of companies, collaborating closely with Regional Directors of Operations and fellow Directors to drive the strategic direction and ensure seamless execution.
Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Developing and leading strategies for power asset management and personnel leadership across the group.
- Overseeing the strategic planning of support services, including power equipment logistics and field services for the group.
- Collaborating with directors from engineering, operations, and asset integrity to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.
- Strategizing with Quality and Engineering teams to proactively address and prevent operational issues related to power.
- Delivering strategic updates to the VP of Operations regarding Power Generation equipment and team performance.
- Designing systems and processes that enhance visibility and accountability across platforms such as ERP and PDM.
- Upholding rigorous safety standards and ensuring adherence to operating procedures and site-specific policies.
- Facilitating essential training and continuous learning opportunities within the power generation sector.
- Collaborating with the group to develop effective long-term turbine repower strategies.
- Performing additional duties as necessary to ensure smooth operations and business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Participation in Safety training and annual recertification.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to clients.
- Effective collaboration within a team setting to achieve objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Experience:
- A 4-year technical bachelor’s degree is required; relevant professional experience may be considered as an alternative.
- Previous aeroderivative power generation experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with power generation equipment and operations.
- Over 5 years of leadership experience in a related field is essential.
