Role:

The Electrical Engineering Manager is a site-based leadership role responsible for the design and delivery of complex electrical power systems.

Based in Brookfield Center, Ohio, this position combines senior-level electrical engineering expertise with project leadership responsibility, ensuring technical excellence from concept through to commissioning.

Requirements & Essential Functions:

  • Lead engineering and project management activities for assigned projects, coordinating across disciplines to deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure all engineering work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to defined quality standards through structured review processes.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and change management processes, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the quality, consistency, and technical integrity of all engineering deliverables.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and project partners.
  • Design and develop comprehensive electrical documentation, including scope definitions, specifications, data sheets, single-line and three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and physical layout drawings for low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Specify and procure electrical equipment through preparation of detailed purchase requisitions.
  • Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT) and inspections for relay panels, power distribution centres, and associated equipment.
  • Ensure all engineering practices comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards, including NEC.
  • Review project estimates to confirm technical feasibility and alignment with proposed solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or higher qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ professional experience in electrical design and engineering roles.
  • At least 5+ years’ hands-on experience with protection and control panel components, including relays, switching equipment, and test systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, growth-oriented mindset with strong leadership potential.
  • Authorisation to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass background screening, driving record checks, and drug testing.

Desirable Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and/or Substation Design Suite (SDS).
