Role:

The EMEA Sales Director is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for defining and executing the European sales strategy.

This position holds ownership of a €30 million revenue portfolio, with a clear mandate to deliver 5–10% year-on-year growth. Leading a team of nine sales professionals across multiple European countries, as well as overseeing distributor relationships, you will play a central role in shaping and driving the organisation’s regional market success.

The role is remote in nature, with an ideal base in Germany.

Requirements & Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive European B2B sales strategy to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and new customer acquisition.
  • Identify and capitalise on new market opportunities within target sectors, ensuring delivery against revenue forecasts and strategic objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a geographically dispersed external sales team, fostering a high-performance, resilient, and culturally aware sales culture.
  • Establish clear KPIs, drive accountability, and ensure consistent performance management across the region.
  • Implement value-based selling approaches and strategic pricing models to maximise profitability.
  • Negotiate key commercial contracts and develop tailored customer solutions to ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Manage and optimise distributor partnerships, conducting regular performance reviews to ensure alignment and value delivery.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive and market analysis to support success in highly competitive, non-dominant market positions.
  • Collaborate closely with production, marketing, and product development teams to align strategy and execution.
  • Provide regular, structured reporting to senior leadership on performance, pipeline health, and market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in B2B sales leadership roles, ideally within industrial or technical sectors such as capital equipment, engineered products, aerospace, oil and gas, energy, or related environments.
  • Proven success leading geographically dispersed sales teams and managing complex distributor networks.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue targets, negotiating major contracts, and growing market share in competitive markets.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term planning and short-term execution.
  • Strong technical aptitude, enabling effective communication of complex products and solutions.
  • Resilient, results-driven leadership style with excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in business, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience gained through professional practice.
