STQ Partners is partnering with a global specialty materials manufacturer to identify an experienced EHS Manager to support one of their key manufacturing facilities in Fulton, New York.

Role:

This is a high-impact leadership role within a world-class manufacturing environment where safety, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement are core priorities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening site safety culture, ensuring full compliance, and driving measurable improvements across EHS performance.

Requirements & Essential Functions:

  • Develop, upgrade, and implement safety and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance and improve operational performance.
  • Interpret EHS regulations and conduct internal audits to maintain compliance.
  • Deliver regulatory training programs.
  • Partner closely with site leadership to monitor and improve safety and process performance.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk and minimize impact to quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Track environmental, sustainability, and regulatory metrics for the facility.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across safety, compliance, and environmental performance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to supervisors and leadership on all EHS matters.
  • Lead accident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting to reduce workers’ compensation exposure.
  • Develop and lead EHS committees and cross-functional safety teams.
  • Support corporate EHS audits and compliance reviews.
  • Oversee OSHA log collection and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Environmental, Health & Safety (or related field).
  • 5–7 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience delivering safety training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence culture and drive a safe workplace.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of GHS, REACH, RoHS.
  • Expertise in Lockout/Tagout and Machine Guarding.
  • Experience with SARA 312 & 313 reporting.
  • Storm water management knowledge.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E.
  • Lean manufacturing exposure preferred.
  • Project Management training and/or Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Relevant EHS certifications a plus.
