EPC Engineering Manager Electrical

The EPC Engineering Manager – Electrical is responsible for leading electrical engineering design activity across a power distribution product and project portfolio.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced electrical engineer with deep technical expertise and a passion for developing engineering teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering team responsible for the design and documentation of power distribution systems.
• Interpret and develop front elevations, single-line and three-line diagrams, translating customer and quotation requirements into complete drawing and documentation packages.
• Design and review control circuits, transfer schemes, differential protection schemes, and PT/CPT load calculations.
• Ensure all electrical designs meet functional requirements, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to deliver build-ready switchgear designs.
• Maintain strong oversight of internal wiring layouts, promoting best practice for safety, compliance, and manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with ANSI, NEC, and UL standards and support certification and regulatory activities.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Support the transition of designs from concept through to production, resolving design-related issues as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in electrical design of power distribution or comparable engineered products.
• Deep technical knowledge of electrical products, including internal wiring, layout, and protection and control schemes.
• Proven capability producing and interpreting single-line, three-line, and front elevation diagrams.
• Experience converting customer specifications and quotation documentation into fully detailed engineering drawing packages.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design considerations within integrated switchgear solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including ANSI, NEC, and UL.
• Prior leadership or team management experience is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive approach to team development.

• Hands-on experience with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of switchgear systems.
• Background within a manufacturing or project-driven engineering environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple engineering projects concurrently.
