The organisation is seeking senior leadership to drive growth and market leadership within the United States, the world’s largest and most competitive robotics and automation market.

Role:

The Executive Vice President will lead the organisation’s US operations, holding full responsibility for national strategy, execution, and performance.

Based in Michigan, this executive role will shape and deliver an ambitious growth agenda across sales, marketing, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be a visionary and hands-on leader with a strong record of scaling industrial technology businesses, building high-performing teams, and establishing a strong market presence.

Japanese language capability is a significant advantage, supporting collaboration with global stakeholders.

Requirements & Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive US business strategy to achieve revenue growth, profitability, and market share objectives, with full P&L ownership.
  • Lead all revenue-generating activities, including direct sales, key account management, and channel partner development.
  • Identify and penetrate new vertical markets and applications to expand the customer base.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead high-calibre teams across sales, applications engineering, service, and administrative functions.
  • Build and sustain a culture of excellence, collaboration, and customer focus.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for key customers and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with global marketing teams to develop and deliver tailored US market positioning and branding initiatives.
  • Work closely with global product development, engineering, and manufacturing teams to represent US market requirements and influence product roadmaps.
  • Represent the organisation at major industry events, trade associations, and with key media to enhance thought leadership and market visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years’ progressive leadership experience within industrial automation or robotics, including at least 10 years in senior executive roles overseeing US operations.
  • Proven success building and leading a national business unit with full P&L accountability in a B2B technology environment.
  • Established industry network and track record of selling complex, high-value solutions into manufacturing sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and general industry.
  • Strong capability in developing and executing strategic business plans that deliver sustained revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing high-performing teams and multi-tiered channel partner networks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) throughout the United States.
