Our client, a leader in the clean tech power sector, is seeking a Real Time Engineer to play a pivotal role in the effective and secure operation of their power generation activities.

Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing real-time data from various sources, working closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure optimal performance and data-informed decision-making within tactical operations.

Requirements & Essential Functions:

- Monitor and address real-time performance issues related to power generation equipment, supporting field operations.

- Utilize data acquisition platforms to assess equipment health and identify anomalies to enhance availability and reliability.

- Develop and document Root Cause Analyses (RCA) to understand and rectify issues, preventing future occurrences.

- Track and analyze key equipment parameters to spot performance deviations, contributing to long-term reliability improvements.

- Provide immediate troubleshooting assistance to field personnel to uphold equipment availability.

- Engage in incident response activities, coordinating with field teams to troubleshoot operational challenges and implement corrective measures to reduce downtime.

- Facilitate communication between field operations and engineering teams to ensure swift technical problem resolution.

- Maintain accurate records of operational activities, equipment performance, and incidents, preparing timely reports that summarize key findings and suggest improvements.

- Contribute to the creation of technical reports, reliability dashboards, and ongoing improvement projects.

- Enhance processes for monitoring, data analysis, and operational support.

- Work with the Field Engineering Team to provide real-time engineering and troubleshooting for in-field equipment.

- Report on equipment and site trends to boost reliability and performance.

- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies through regular training and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or a related field) is preferred.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in field operations, ideally within the Power Generation sector.

- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and methodical in approach.

- Skilled in performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective action plans.

- Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI, Grafana, and Sophia platforms.

- Familiarity with multi-generator controller visualization platforms.

- Previous experience in a startup environment is a plus.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Possess a strong sense of ownership and an ability to collaborate effectively.

- Responsive, action-oriented, and capable of quick decision-making.
